Terms and Conditions

Updated 02/14/2023

Payments

Payments can be made in any amount, but a 30% deposit is required to get the order started. The remaining balance is due before delivery.

Deposits may not be refundable depending on how far along your clock is in the production process. Payment can be made via check, bank transfer, or credit card.

Cancellations

Your order can be canceled for any reason up to 48 hours from making the deposit. After 48 hours, we will handle cancellation requests on a case by case basis. If your clock has already entered production, no refund or only a partial refund of your deposit may be issued.

Unpaid orders

The total balance must be paid in full before shipping or within 3 months of being notified that your clock is ready for shipping. Failure to make the final payment within 3 months of being notified that your clock is ready for shipping may result in the order being canceled and forfeiture of the deposit, unless other arrangements have been made.

Sales Tax

We are required to collect sales tax for orders delivered in the state of Pennsylvania. For orders outside of Pennsylvania, we do not collect sales tax.

Returns

We offer returns within 30 days of delivery. Shipping and setup fees are not refundable. There will be a 15% restocking fee on returns.

Please contact us to arrange for returns. Refunds will be processed within 15 days after the item is received back at our warehouse in good condition.

Clocks that are customized beyond the options offered on our website may not be returnable in every case.

Definitions

Our definition of solid wood

All clocks are built using solid hardwoods. We may use plywood with a veneer whenever the clock design requires a large flat piece of wood (for example back panel or side panels). Plywood is more suitable for large flat pieces because it is more stable and will not warp, crack, or split.

Our definition of Amish-made

People groups that fit into the Amish category may include Mennonites and other groups with characteristics similar to the Amish.

Our definition of handmade in the USA

All clock cases are handmade in the USA. Clock parts may be imported (example: movements and hardware).

Sound clips

The chime sound clips on our website are representative only. The actual sound of your clock may differ from the sound clip on our website.

Color swatches

Color swatches on our website are representative only. Digital samples are generally not 100% accurate. If you require a color match, we recommend sending us a sample of your color or requesting a sample from us. Wood has natural color variations, which may affect the final color of your clock cabinet. We are not responsible for color variations resulting from the natural color variations in wood.

Shipping

All clocks come with free shipping in the USA (excluding Hawaii and Alaska). For areas outside of our free shipping area, please contact us for a no-obligation shipping estimate.

In the event that the clock is undeliverable because of a wrong shipping address or because no one is available to meet the delivery driver, the customer may be charged a re-delivery fee.

We do not deliver to P.O. boxes.

Wall and shelf / mantel clocks are delivered via a parcel shipping service.

Floor clocks are delivered by a furniture delivery specialist.

Shipping to an international address will be considered on a case by case basis.

Shipping damage

Please inspect your clock carefully upon arrival for shipping damage. All shipping damage claims must be made within 5 days of delivery. If no notification of damage is made within 5 days of delivery, you accept and own the merchandise, as delivered.

In the unlikely event that shipping damage does occur, we will work with you and the carrier to correct the damage by repairing or replacing the damaged product.

Setup / assembly services

Free in-home-setup is provided for most floor clocks with mechanical movements and in most areas of the USA. If this service is available in your area, we will arrange to have a local clock expert come out and assist with setting up your clock.

What is included in free in-home setup:

  • Unload the clock and place it inside your home (first floor)
  • Finish unpacking the clock
  • Install the weights and pendulum
  • Ensure that the clock is running smoothly and make any necessary adjustments
  • Provide basic instructions on care of the clock

If you would rather do your own unloading and setup, we can provide a credit of up to $400. In that case, setup will be your responsibility.

Delivery and setup may be completed at two separate times. Our delivery professional will deliver the clock, and then we’ll arrange for a clock expert to come in and set it up for you.

For other clocks besides mechanical floor clocks, the final assembly is the responsibility of the purchaser. We provide instructions and support as needed.

For wall clocks, it is the customer’s responsibility to hang the clock on the wall. We are not responsible for clocks that fall off the wall.

Lead times

While we do our best to honor our quoted lead times, please understand that at times the lead time must be extended due to circumstances outside of our control.

Warranty

We offer a limited lifetime warranty on clock cases. Clock movements come with a 3-year warranty. See our warranty page for more information.
